Ecclesiastes 3:1

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

A Word from Pastor Michelle

Autumn is finally here!

After the heat and humidity of summer, the cooler air feels like a welcome gift. The leaves will soon begin to change their colors, the mornings feel a little more refreshing, and the rhythm of creation begins to shift. As we pass the autumnal equinox, our days will gradually become shorter and our nights longer.

There is something beautiful about this change of season. Autumn reminds us that life is always changing. Nature teaches us to welcome each season for what it brings—the warmth of summer, the beauty of autumn, the quietness of winter, and the new life of spring. Each season has its own gifts, and each invites us to notice God’s presence in a different way.

Perhaps autumn also gives us an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and pay attention. We can enjoy the beauty around us and give thanks for the simple gifts of cooler mornings, changing leaves, good conversations, worship, fellowship, and the people God has placed in our lives.

So, let us welcome this beautiful season of autumn—with grateful hearts and open spirits. May we enjoy the changing colors of creation, cherish this season of our lives together, and continue to seek God’s guidance as we move forward as a community of faith.

With prayers and love,

Pastor Michelle

Prayer Focus

We continue to hold our Wesley church members, friends, and their loved ones in prayer, especially those who are facing illness, recovering from procedures, or going through difficult seasons.

Please continue to pray for Charlie Painter as he undergoes his procedure. We also continue to pray for Becky as she recuperates at home following her recent procedure. We especially remember Patty, Fran’s cousin, who is battling her fifth round of COVID. Please pray for healing and renewed strength for Patty.
