Hebrews 10:23

“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.”

A Word from Pastor Michelle

As I reflect on our life together at Wesley, my heart is filled with gratitude for the many quiet and faithful ways God is at work among us. Sometimes the greatest signs of God’s grace are not found in large events or numbers, but in people who continue to gather, care for one another, pray, and remain faithful through difficult seasons.

I have been especially grateful for our Sunday School class. For more than a month, Charlie, their teacher, has not been able to join the class as he continues his recovery after spine surgery. At times, even Gwen, the co-teacher, has been unable to be present. Yet the class members have continued to gather faithfully. They study the Bible, share their lives, and pray for Charlie, Becky, and one another.

I was so delighted when Gwen shared last Sunday that they had such a wonderful time together that they lost track of time and arrived late for worship! What a beautiful testimony of Christian fellowship. Even in a difficult season, they continue to encourage and strengthen one another.

I am also thankful for the Dale Swartz Trinity Circle, which gathered on September 28 for its first meeting of the fall. It was a joy to see all 12 members together for dinner, fellowship, and conversation. These gatherings may seem simple, but they are a great strength of our church.

Thank you for your faithfulness to one another and to Wesley Church. In seasons of uncertainty and change, your prayers, fellowship, service, and care for one another are a beautiful testimony of Christ's love. These are the gifts through which God continues to strengthen our church.

With gratitude and prayer,

Pastor Michelle

Prayer Focus

Pray for our Wesley Church members, friends, and their loved ones in prayer, especially those who are facing illness, recovering from procedures, or walking through difficult seasons.

Pray for Charlie as he continues his rehabilitation and recovery following his surgery.

Pray for the Charge Conference and a potluck fellowship lunch together. Give thanks for what God has done, and look forward with hope to what God is continuing to do among us.

Pray for our Hispanic Community Engagement program as we continue planning and building relationships with our Hispanic/Latino neighbors and ministry partners.
