A Word from Pastor Michelle
As we prepare for our Charge Conference on October 11, we are entering an important season of reflection, prayer, and planning for the year ahead.
One of the important matters before us is our 2027 budget. As the Finance Committee has carefully prepared the budget, we have recognized that our financial resources are being stretched. Our building maintenance needs have increased, along with utility costs, church building insurance, and clergy health insurance expenses. For this reason, the Finance Committee has worked thoughtfully to prepare a more tightly balanced budget for 2027.
At the same time, I do not want our financial circumstances to become a source of fear or discouragement. We trust in God’s provision. Our responsibility is to be faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us, to make wise and thoughtful decisions, and to continue serving our congregation and community with compassionate love.
As we look toward 2027, I invite us to pray not only about our finances, but also about who God is calling Wesley Church to become. Throughout this year, we have been praying and reflecting on renewal and restoration. May that prayer continue as we seek God’s direction for our church, our ministries, our partnerships, and our service to the community.

Prayer Focus
We continue to hold our Wesley Church members, friends, and their loved ones in prayer, especially those who are facing illness, recovering from procedures, or walking through difficult seasons.
Pray for our upcoming Charge Conference on October 11.
Pray for our Hispanic Community Engagement program as we continue planning and building relationships with our Hispanic/Latino neighbors and ministry partners.
