Life can be difficult. There are days when problems seem to come from every direction. I may worry about my health, my family, or what tomorrow will bring. I may experience loneliness, or fear. During those moments, I remind myself of an important truth: I am cared for.

I am cared for by my elders. They offer the wisdom that comes from years of living, struggling, learning, and overcoming. Their stories remind me that difficult seasons do not last forever. Their advice helps me understand where I come from and encourages me to continue moving forward. Through their memories, prayers, and examples, they connect me to my family, and the generations that came before me.

I am cared for by my brothers and sisters. They share the history of my life and understand many of the experiences that have shaped me. We may not always agree, and we may follow different paths, but the bond between us remains. In times of difficulty, their presence reminds me that I belong to a family. Their companionship give me strength.

I am also cared for by my neighbors. A neighbor may watch over a home, or simply take time to listen. These ordinary acts of kindness build trust and create a sense of community. They remind me that care appears in small actions offered at exactly the right moment.

Being cared for does not mean that all my problems will disappear. It means that I do not have to face them alone. The people around me can support and give me courage.

God’s care is often revealed through these human relationships. I experience divine love through the wisdom of my elders, and the kindness of my neighbors. Their care becomes a living sign that I have not been forgotten.

Because I am cared for, I also have a responsibility to care for others. I can listen to someone who is lonely, and support someone who is struggling. Care grows when it is shared.

I am part of a family and a community. I am surrounded by memories, relationships, and acts of kindness. Even during difficult times, I can move forward with hope because I know that I am valued, supported, and loved. I am cared for.
