Dear Wesley Church Family,
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Summer often brings travel, family gatherings, and opportunities for rest. Wherever we may be, however, God remains faithful, and we remain connected as the body of Christ through prayer, worship, encouragement, and service. Thank you to each of you who continues to care for one another and faithfully support the ministries of Wesley United Methodist Church throughout these summer weeks.
We are especially grateful for Dave, who has begun serving as our cantor, song leader, in worship. Through his voice and faithful service, Dave helps guide our congregation as we lift our hearts and voices in praise to God. We thank him for offering his musical gifts to strengthen our worship together.
We also give thanks for the joyful Birthday Celebration we shared following worship last Sunday. We are especially grateful to Sallie, who faithfully prepares the birthday cake for us on the first Sunday of each month. It was a special blessing to celebrate everyone's birthdays this month.
Below are this week’s announcements, prayer concerns, and opportunities to worship, serve, and grow together in faith.
Adult Sunday School Begins a New Study
This Sunday, July 12, our Adult Sunday School will begin a new study of the Book of Ecclesiastes. We warmly invite all church members to join us as we explore this rich and thoughtful book of Scripture together.
The class meets at 9:00 a.m. and lasts about 45 minutes. Come enjoy coffee, donuts, meaningful conversation, and the blessings of Christian fellowship as we grow together in God’s Word.
Weekly Essay
Please read the weekly essay, “Transformation,” written by Pastor Joe Prewitt-Díaz. We hope it will encourage and inspire you in your faith journey throughout the week.
Grace and peace,
Rev. Dr. Michelle Kim
