Dear Church Family,

I would like to share two prayer updates and ask for your continued prayers.

Virginia Annual Conference

I will be attending the Virginia Annual Conference in Harrisonburg, near James Madison University. Anjana will represent Wesley Church as our lay member to Annual Conference as we gather with churches from across the conference for worship, learning, and holy conferencing.

Please pray for all clergy and lay delegates, asking God to grant wisdom, unity, discernment, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout our time together.

Father’s Day Celebration - Sunday, June 21

We will celebrate Father's Day during worship next Sunday, followed by an ice cream social hosted by the Women's Group in the Fellowship Hall.

Following the social, we will enjoy a video presentation of the Honduras Mission Trip created by Paul MacDonald. We hope you will join us for this special time of fellowship and celebration.

Lector Training - Sunday, June 28 following worship in the sanctuary.

The lector schedule for the remainder of the year has been distributed, including assignments for our new lector. We ask all lectors to make every effort to attend this training, as we will be introducing updates to the worship order and reviewing lector responsibilities.

Weekly Essay

Please read the weekly essay, “Grace,” written by Pastor Joe Prewitt-Díaz. We hope it will encourage and inspire you in your faith journey throughout the week.

While I am attending the Virginia Annual Conference, our ministry team will also be away. If you have any pastoral concerns, or urgent church matters, please contact the church office. I will remain in communication with the office and will be available as needed during the conference.
