A Grateful for Our Church Family

1 Thessalonians 1:2–3
“We always give thanks to God for all of you and mention you in our prayers, constantly remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
A Word from Pastor Michelle
As I write these words ahead of my vacation, my heart is filled with gratitude for the many people who faithfully share in the ministry of Wesley United Methodist Church. Knowing that our church’s worship, prayer, and spiritual nourishment will continue while I am away gives me great peace and allows me to enjoy this time away with David.
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to Pastor Joe and Anjana for faithfully supporting our pastoral ministry, including leading worship services and facilitating our monthly prayer meeting. I am also deeply grateful to Scott for leading our Spiritual Nourishment Room gatherings for the next two weeks.
I am blessed to serve alongside such dedicated ministry partners, and I am equally thankful for each of you in our congregation. Your prayers, encouragement, and willingness to share in the life and ministry of our church mean more to me than words can fully express. Because of your faithful support, I can step away for this vacation with a peaceful heart, knowing that our ministry will continue through your shared commitment and love for Christ.
One special event I hope you will mark on your calendar is our Joint Bilingual Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 22, at 11:00 a.m. We will gather with our Hispanic congregations, Jesús El Verbo and Ephata Church, for a joyful service in both English and Spanish, followed by a Thanksgiving meal and fellowship. Our regular worship time will move from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on that Sunday.
What a wonderful opportunity to give thanks to God together, celebrate the gifts of our diverse church family, and strengthen the bonds of love that unite us in Christ! I hope you will join us for this special celebration.
May God continue to renew our hearts, strengthen our fellowship, and guide us as we pursue renewal and restoration together.
In Christ’s love,
Pastor Michelle
