Our Creator, we praise you for the opportunity to assemble here this morning. We thank you for Wesley Church, The United Methodist Church, and your Church Universal on this Heritage Sunday. We praise the lives of men and women who kept the message alive. Help us to continue to hear and act on Your Word. Amen
Libbie Wright is a retired minister in the Virginia Annual Conference. Prior to retirement, she served Aldersgate UMC in Hampton and as District Superintendent of Eastern Shore District.
Ed Wright is also a retired minister in the Conference. He served nearby at Sydenstryker UMC among many others.
Both of these dear friends are committed and compassionate to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are a delight to be with. Thank you, Ed and Libby, for being with us today.
