Wesley Church is a
place to grow in worship and holy conversation about the love of God,
redemption through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We are
intentional about sharing love and compassion with everyone. We serve in our
neighborhood with a deep desire to strengthen our common community life. We
have active ministries for children both on Sunday and through our weekday
preschool program. Our youth are involved in Bible study, mission, fellowship
and Scouting. Both United Methodist Men and United Methodist Women serve the
ministry and mission in the Virginia United Methodist Conference. Bringing the
love of Christ to life in worship, Word, neighborhood and beyond is our
mission.
Releaser of Captives, whose grace goes out
ahead of us, In stillness and silence, your Presence and power reveals all that
keeps us from living fully. Helps us surrender so we can be purified of our
idols and addictions. As we break free, others gain their freedom also. May we
go forth as monks in the world, gently placing each step and extending our
