Send A Prayer Request Directly to Rev. Janet Salbert

God of Clarity and Chaos, whose facets reflect light in all directions, We thank you for the mysterious brightness of your Presence. In the possibilities of this new day, order our lives with your mercy and peace that our weary souls may be relieved of this bent toward sin. Shine comfort into the lives of all who need healing and hope. May your image be seen throughout our world. Amen.   Pastor Janet Salbert

When we grow in a relationship with others, we ask questions, we listen and we share our stories. Prayer is conversation with God. Prayer is how we attend to God's presence in our lives. A regular practice of prayer means that we are invested in an ongoing relationship with God. With God, we can be nothing but ourselves, there is no pretense, no hiding from God. Both our deepest desires to love and our tendency toward sin are exposed to God. In fact, sometimes prayer helps us to learn what God already knows. We experience God's love and forgiveness through times of prayer and devotion.

Both corporate and individual prayer helps us to grow in faith. Jesus taught his disciples to go to a solitary place to pray. We can set an intention for our time in prayer in a variety of ways: to rest in God's love, to intercede for the needs of others, to ask forgiveness and to seek guidance. Prayer strengthens our faith by the power of the Holy Spirit. May you be richly blessed in your relationship with Christ as you grow in prayer.
